Readymix Concrete (B) Sdn. Bhd. facilitated an industrial site visit for students from the Pertubuhan Ukur Jurutera & Arkitek (PUJA) Student Chapter comprising of twenty-nine students from Universiti Teknologi Brunei (UTB) majoring in both Mechanical Engineering and Civil Engineering.

Present to lead the visit was the company’s Technical Manager, Mr. Howell Dosal Carcillar, who has been with the company since 2012 with four years of experience as a concrete specialist in Dubai prior to his employment here in Brunei Darussalam. Here, he showed the detailed process of concrete manufacturing from the acquisition of the raw materials used, quality control and necessary testing of the raw materials, production process, and also the delivery.

The company’s Marketing Executive, Ms. Zara Laila Binti Abdul Hadi, stated that, “Readymix Concrete (B) Sdn. Bhd. has always had a good relationship with Pertubuhan Ukur, Jurutera & Arkitek (PUJA) and have managed a few charity seminars together over the years. Additionally, the company is always ready to welcome the public onto our batching plant sites. We are very keen on educating the public on the detailed process as to how we have managed to maintain the quality of our concrete for the past thirty-five years and how fly ash and other innovations have played a big role in that process.”
